Dear Aspirant,

Choice of the branch is a very important step and should be therefore taken with utmost care. Now the most important factor in choosing your branch is your interest. If you are not interested in a particular subject or branch then 4 years of your life will be very troublesome. Therefore choose what suits you.

now coming to these two branches which you have, both of them are quite good and promising branches, but, academically there is a difference. Information Technology is rather on the easy side as compare to Electronics and Communication. To be honest, ECE is the toughest branch among all the other branches.

So if you do not have an interest in the working of hardware of your PC and how memory, or processor works, then do not choose ECE and go for IT.

However, if you have an interest in these and you are a studious child, then join ECE as you'll find various government jobs in ECE which are not there in IT.

Hope this helps.

Thank You.
