GEOLOGY - In both private and public sector, geologists are in demand and are paid a handsome package. You can pursue careers in diverse fields such as: igneous petrology, geochemistry, seismology, marine geology, volcanology, economic geology, geomorphology, structural geology etc. 

GEOGRAPHY - Geography is more like liberal arts. The graduates study further because it is not possible to grab a high paying job with just a Geography degree. The career opportunities in this field include cartographer, climatologist, GIS specialist, urban planner, forest manager, landscape architect, teacher/lecturer etc.
