There is not much difference between IT and CSE. Both deal with software. CSE people also deals with some core subjects of EC like electronic devices and circuits, communication system. But IT people study only software subjects ( only small part of communication system).CSE people have more chances for government exams. But IT people have to switch their branch for giving exams like GATE. But both the branches get numerous job opportunities as there are many software companies visiting the college campus. At last its your choice. Go with your interest.
