The All India Sainik School Entrance Test is administered by the National Testing Agency, or NTA, for admission to 33 former Sainik Schools and 19 newly constructed Sainik Schools nationwide in Classes 6 and 9. For those who fit the standards, both boys and girls can be admitted to Sainik School in Class 6. Only males are eligible to take the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam in order to get admitted into Sainik School Class 9.
