See in terms of placement and ease of academics , i would say Computer Science is better , as you would get better placements and getting placements is much easier as compared to chemical Engineering .

Both the branches require strong Mathematics skills , and in Chemical Engineering too , you would learn a lot of Cse skills like Python , Java , Big Data Management , Hadoop , Spark , etc .

With chemical Engineering , you have a more research oriented ,academics , and getting , psu's will depend on your skills and mindset . And you can go for research also if you like , as Ms is offered by many universities in US , Germany etc .

Computer Sciences is the most in demand branch , so you would not have a problem getting placed , and if you like cse , and tech related subjects like web development , Machine Learning ,etc , you can go for cs engineering .
