See there aren't many colleges which offer both COMPUTER ENGINEERING as well as SOFTWARE ENGINEERING together.

Now the course of both these branches are 90% overlapping and the minute difference is that the COMPUTER engineering is concerned with Hardware - softgware interface as well as digital hardware whereas SOFTWARE engineering is related to development of new and efficient softwares and testing them.

These two are nearly same branches and are introduced in college for maintaining student-teacher ratio.Both of these branches require a very high rank and a good number of marks.
