Both BA and BSc in Defense are equally good. However, BSc is more preferrable as a course because you can then sit for CDSE (Combined Defense Service Examination)  after the completion of your course as you may satisfy the age limit.

The major difference between the two is that in BA Defense, you will get to study economics, geopolitics of defense, conflict management, nuclear policies etc. The overall curriculum revolves around all domestic and international issues that are concerned with national security and interests.

When it comes to BSc in Defense, it is more concerned about the implementation of national strategic and defense policies in military forces. You get to study war strategies, defense techniques etc.

It also comes down to your interests as a student and what you might be inclined towards.
