Below, I am listing some main points of difference between the State and Central University.

Central University: It is established by government of India on the recommendation of parliament as an act. In India there are around 50 central universities .

Some interesting points of Central Universities :

• Salary of employees are higher than other universities.
• Education system is very good than other universities.
• Admission fee is generally lower than other universities
• Mostly sudents  prefer such type of university.
• Almost all central universities run PhD program and students get some fellowship.
• Each university has its own chancellor and vice chancellor.

State University : It is established by state government on recommendation of legislative assemblies. It is funded partially by the state and central govt.

Some interesting points of State Universities :

• Each university has vice chancellor and chancellor is governor of that state.
• Salary of employees is lower than central universities
• Admission course fees is also higher than many central universities.
• They mainly focus on graduation courses.
• Facilities are lower than central universities.

So, overall a central university is better than the state university in many ways.
