Both BE and BTech are almost same, they just differ in the nomenclature of the course, one minor difference between BE and BTech is that, BE is a bit more theoretical oriented while BTech is more application based oriented. But other than this there is no major difference in BE and BTech , both are equally reputed and both have almost same syllabus, course etc .
So just to answer you, BTech has a little bit edge over BE as it is more practical oriented than BE.
