Hello student,

Although there are dozens of branches in engineering but only few of them are evergreen. Here, evergreen means courses which are high in demand in job markets. You could easily get a job that pays you good salary. Considering both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering has great scope.

In Electricals, you can prefer Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Present as well as future of an electronic & communication engineer is very bright. It is always an evergreen branch. So an electronic engineer has not to bother about its future. The salary level is also great for Electronics Engineer. After Electronics you can give preference to Computer Science and Engineering if you are interested in this field.

Hope this will be helpful!!!!

Hello,
In precent day scenario every single branch of engineering has it's own importance. I am an electrical engineer, I chose it because, I like the branch. IN my opinion both elcetrical and mechanical engineering students have good oppurtunities. But being an electrical engineer gives you a headstart during campus placements. If you don't care how the starting package is then it is great to choose the branch that you are interested in. If campus placements is your primary concern, then electrical will help you.
Good Luck!

Hello,

Both of these branches are cire branches. But these have different work domains. Mechanical Engineering is considered as the best core branch in terms of government jobs. It has a high number of seats in gate as well as ESE exam as compared to electrical engineering.

Both this branches has similar market conditions and for core branches the scope never lowers. So you should ho with your feild of interest.

Hello aspirant

As per your query.Mechanical branch has more scope then a eletrical branch.both private or goverment sector.the number of vacancy for coming for mechanical branch is greater then eletrical branch.

In a plant only 4-5 electrical engineers required in eletrical department

but mechanical engineers required 19-20 for maintance or utility department

Thanku
