First of all you have to know the difference between IT  branch and CSE branch, in IT you will learn about softwares while in CSE you will learn about software+hardware +os core now it all depends on you if you want to be an expert in computers then you should opt CSE and If you think you want some professional course then opt for IT but according to me you should opt CSE as per the placement point of view CSE student will be  given more preference as it is presumed that he or she will be familiar with all concepts of subjects.
