Hello seema,

First of all I want to make you clear that  JBT and B.Ed are two different course with the goal of getting a government job in teaching sector . JBT  is for those who want to teacher in primary school whereas B.ed is for those who want to teach in secondary school or some upper level school. So It's totally up  to career option you want to go for.

Other than that when we talk about age relaxation it is higher in case of B.ed. i.e 35 years for secondary and 40 years for  senior secondary . But in case of JBT it is 30 year.

Hope it will help!

Junior Basic Training (JBT) is a Diploma level Educational course. This is one of the teacher training programs known as the JBT or Junior Basic Training course.

The duration of the Diploma course is of two years. In some colleges, they offer admission to students based on their academic performance, there are quite a few institutes that conduct an entrance examination for the same.

Junior Basic Training (JBT) Eligibility

  • Students should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board with at least 50% in aggregate.
  • Graduates willing to pursue this course must have cleared their examination with 45% in aggregate.

How is Junior Basic Training (JBT) Course Beneficial?

  • The foremost benefit of the JBT is that they can find jobs in nursery schools, primary, middle and high schools, special schools, etc. after it.
  • They can run their own operated educational schools/institutes and coaching center as well.
  • Apart from the teaching jobs, they have also the option of working as consultants, assistants, educational employees, social workers, educational specialists, etc.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a 2 year undergraduate teaching program that enables you to pursue a career in teaching and other related fields. This course can also be commonly known as Bachelor of Training .You can clear this degree within a maximum time span of 5 years. It covers subjects like holistic education, psychology, guidance and counselling and others.

B.Ed Eligibility

Qualification required to get eligible for Bachelors of Education is to possess an aggregate of 50-55% in your 10+2 from a recognized board or university or you have to clear the entrance exam.

For B.Ed admissions there is no age bar. The pass percentage for B.Ed admission may vary from college to college.

Why B.Ed?

Bachelor of Education makes you more efficient in the field of providing education by enhancing your communication skills and by widening the knowledge of the subject.

There are many other perks of this course like:

  1. Job Satisfaction
  2. Job security
  3. Fixed Salary
  4. Huge Respect
  5. Almost fixed working hours and others.

I would definitely recommend doing B.Ed because B.Ed is much better option than JBT . A JBT training is the elementary recognition certificate to teach in primary school (class-1 to class-8). Whether, B.Ed training is the recognising certificate of a graduate teacher for teaching in Secondary and Higher Secondary classes.

Hope I have answered your question . Thank you
