An autonomous college is free from any boundations like it can make changes in the curriculum or syllabus as it wants. This type of college can conduct exams according the convenience.

While universities or affiliated colleges has a fixed syllabus and fixed exam dates that can't be changed. You can also change easily between the same university colleges.
