Hi Adarsh,

EEE stands for Electrical and Electronics engineering whereas ECE stands for Electronics and Communication engineering. Both of these courses have equal importance. It depends upon the interest of the students.

In EEE, it is more about electrical systems used in environment and contains basics of electronics. EEE has stuffs like circuits, electrostatics, power engg and so on. In ECE, it is more about communication systems and a technical field. ECE contains stuffs about transmission, electronic devices, microprocessors , communication equipments and so on.

In terms of jobs, EEE has more scope as there is no tough competition and are mostly hired by Electrical board for maintenance, installation and so on. Also, EEE has a good opportunity of getting into It industries. In ECE, there are more chances of getting a Government job. They also have a good chance in broadcast industry and defence.

In conclusion, if you are interested to learn about technology then opt for ECE and if you are interested in circuit, electromagnetics and stuffs then opt for EEE. Both the streams are equally good.

Hi Aadarsh,

EEE is a combination of electrical and electronics. On the other hand, ECE is a combination of Electronics and computer science.

In the both the courses you are getting Electronics but you have to take this decision that whether you want to go for electrical or Computer Science.

If you are interested in circuits and electric power transmission and all, then you should go with EEE. If you have keen interest in coding or programming that ECE will be the best for you.

Choice is yours.

Dear Student,

EEE or otherwise known as Electrical and Electronics Engineering, deals with pure electronics. In this branch they will teach you circuit theory, Electronic instruments, Digital and Analog Electronics .

Where ECE or otherwise known as Electronics Communication Engineering, is inclined more towards communication rather than Electronics. Here their main focus is to teach you some of the basics of electronics but they will be teaching only the overview of it rather than going deep into the subject. By your third you will mostly be learning about the communication/telecommunication which will be carried out till your final year. You will be studying subjects like RF and Microwave Engineering, mobile, Satellite Communications, analog and digital communication, RADAR, Computer Networks, Internet.

When it comes down to stating which is the best branch it all comes down to preference and what each individual finds interesting. Both of the above branches are part of the circuit branches and both have equal scope in the future and have plenty of job opportunities.
