Getting a compartmental really hampers your career progress. Certainly, you won't be able to join college/University for higher education. But one shouldn't just look at the bad side of the happening, something you can find an opportunity in the state of stress. Since you've mentioned you're scoring 75% marks without giving the compartmental paper then it's an opportunity to get the score better with the reappearance. It will not only help you to fetch those extra percentage but will help you out during higher education admission requirement(Remember IIMs do consider 10th and 12th scores). 

I'd personally advise reappearing for the compartment rather than looking forward to grace marks. The rest is up to your conscience. Do reach out to your mentors or friends for further guidance. Do let me know which education board you're from, I'll surely help you out with details.

If you have gotten decent marks in all the other subjects except one (that is the major concern for you), then I'd suggest to write the compartment exams. This way you'll have a chance to better your overall percentage without having to repeat an entire year. If, however, you have faltered in more than 2 subjects and want to get your percentage to drastically change, you might consider repeating 12th standard again.
