Hi Ravi. There are different scholarship policies of different educational institutions. Some colleges/universities give fee waiver to the students who come in the merit list of entrance exam conducted by that particular college/university. Whereas, a few institutions have their cutoff list of marks based on which scholarships are given to students who have passed their class 12 and are seeking for undergraduate courses.

You have not mentioned the college but if are asking about engineering colleges then every college has their own demand except NITs ,IITs and some other CFTIs.In NITs and IITs you will get fee waiver according to your annual income.
