Dear,

Chemical Engineering is more to do with designing of the equipment/ chemical process.Chemical Technology is the study of different processes in Chemical Industry. For eg. Study of process of production of Ammonia, or study of the process of petroleum refining, study of the process of production of caustic soda etc! Now scope of chemical engineering is to vast. ... Chemical engineers are required both in Govt (BPCL, ONGC) and Private sectors. Their job profile ranges from Production engineer, Design Engineer etc. Moerover chemicalengineers can have very good career in R&D, Teaching. In university of calcutta both have same placements. Most of the companies are same so thats not an issue. You must choose stream  which you find interesting.

Hope this helps!
