Hello Alfiya,
Obviously u should start ur preparation after class 10th for IIT-JEE. This is the most basic questions which has been asked by most of the student after passing 10th board exam. Here ,let me clear that the syllabus of intermediate and IIT-JEE is exactly the same differ only in level/standard of exam.
Standard 11th is the period where u hv no pressure of board exams but obviously u hv to pass school/college exams.this is the period which most of the aspirants ignores. Aspirants thinks that they will get command on 12th and in target they think to cover whole syllabus which is quite difficult(I hv seen a no of students who failed miserably in IIT jee exam due to this mentality ) . So, This(11th ) is the period where u can cover all your topics, practice more no of questions regarding IIT jee &also get command on all topics.when u reach in 12th standard u hv only to revise these topics which anyone can manage easily by time management & u can also focus on 12th . In IIT jee approximately 40% questions Has been asked from 11th &60 %from 12th standard.
In 12th ,u hv more pressure regarding board exams and IIT jee,so here your command on 11th topics will automatically help I. E u hv not to cover both 11th &12th.
So it is quite obvious that ur preparation for IIT jee starts right from the 11th class when u start ur classes.and this is the period which affects ur results. So better preparation right from 11th standard will be the deciding factor all the best.
Hey Alfiya,
According to your question I think you should start preparing for JEE mains afterclass 10th itself because in JEE most of the course is asked form 11th and 12th combined so strart focusing from class 11th for gaining good marks in JEE for further studies. Best of luck for your future.
Thank you.
