Hello!

A product based company is something that will have the product and these products will be distributed to costumers. Whereas service based companies are something which will make the product with respect to costumers request.  When it comes to service based company they will not have huge loss as they are creating the product only on the customers request. Product based company will face a huge loss if the product is not requested. Job security is higher in product based companies. examples for service based companies naturals (saloon) , tailor shops, steel companies, etc. Example for product based companies Google, Sony, food industries etc. Both product based as well as service based are better than one other from different perspectives.

Generally product based is better than service based.

ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was of some help.

Thank You

Dear student,

Product based companies are best as they get the most of the projects and service based companies has less projects.

In product based companies you will get high chances of learning new technologies and you will find many talented people there that contributes towards your growth.

Service based companies hire many people at once in less wages so project distribution is  very random and switching to other domains are difficult.

hope it Helps!

Dear Aspirant,

Service based

If you like really challenging technical work, then service based is definitely not for you.

Because of nature of work they hire too many people at less wages.

Since technical competency doesn't play a huge role, usually office   flattery take front seat during appraisals and review.

As a consequence you see lot of dominance from people sitting on top (manager/directors), and lot of chaos in project executions.

You might have to work for long hours to prove your worth because there is not much scope to rise by more brilliance

Product based :

Being in product based company does not guarantee a great technically challenging work. But probability of getting good work is higher.

Also, in product based companies chances of working new technologies is higher. By new I do not mean technologies new to a person, I mean newer technologies/methodologies introduced in industry itself.

You are usually surrounded by really good talent. That also contributes a lot to your growth. it is rare that a really good talented engineer not valued in the team. Because, at the end of day manager as well as team has to save their job.

You really get a lot of opportunities to appreciate your manager and colleague.

Hope this information helps you ,

Thank you .

Hello,

In my opinion, companies based on products are better than companies services. Taking into account the learning process, by implication, product-based businesses are learning curve friendly. You can't help it there's a lot of skills you're likely to learn. You are supposed to think outside the box and come up with a great idea for the customers to create something that is very helpful.
