If you want to become an IAS officer a simple degree is enough.

People go for IAS after Engineering and Medicine because they may have diverted their interest during  graduation.

And opting engineering and medicine or degree is your interest.

Studying engineering to become IAS , without interest in engineering will put you in trouble. Same in the case of medicine.

So it is you who as to decide.

If you want to become an IAS officer , take any graduation of your interest, and prepare hard for your dream.
