Cochlea is the part of the Human ear which is divided by the basilar membrane

Cochlea is made up of 3 compartments

• Scala tympani
• Scala Media
• Scala vestibuli

They are separated from each other by 2 membranes - Basilar membrane and Reissner's membrane

Organ of Corti is on the top of Basilar membrane
