According to me, you can take the following subjects , if you willing to prepare CLAT exam:-

• Economics (important)
• Political science(important)
• History
• English(important)
• Legal studies

And Yes for General category, 45%marks should be scored in 12th class .

For obc/sc/St 40 % marks intheir 12th class .

The eligibility criteria for CLAT for undergraduate programme is that Candidates who have passed their Senior Secondary School Examination/ 12th Board Examination can apply. A minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree is required to appear in CLAT 2020. SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks. So you can take any subject to write CALT. • English including Comprehension.
• General Knowledge and current Affairs.
• Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability)
