About the books now, you should not rely on one book. Period. Have a Base book for every subject, yes. But as you must already know, for subjects like physics and chemistry specially, you'll have to look into multiple books for clarity of concepts.



Chemistry : Inorganic - -  NCERT is your bible. Memorise it word by word.

Organic - - L. G. Wade, if you can get your hands on this book, it's pure gold. Or Morrison and Boyd, for concepts, and Arihant for practice.

Physical chemistry - - Pretty much any famous book will do. Follow exam oriented approach in this subject.



Physics : HCV must be your Base book here. Build around that.

For topic wise study and also practice, go for DC Pandey by Arihant. That's all you gon need.



Maths : TMH was my personal choice, you may go for any other reputable book like Arihant.
