Hello,

Vitamin K is a nutrient that the body needs to stay healthy. It's important for blood clotting and healthy bones and also has other functions in the body. If you are taking a blood thinner such as warfarin, it's very important to get about the same amount of vitamin K each day. Vitamin K (https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/supplement-guide-vitamin-k) plays a key role in helping the blood clot (https://www.webmd.com/dvt/blood-clots) , preventing excessive bleeding. Unlike many other vitamins, vitamin K is not typically used as a dietary supplements (https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/supplement-faq) .
