Dear student!
BOD stands for Biological Oxygen Demand. It is usually more in the water with more number of microorganisms. This means, this is the oxygen demand by those organisms. The more the BID the more polluted is the water by the microorganisms. Now, you decide, which is more safe to drink. Obviously, it is the water with minimum BOD. Hope this helps.

BOD(biochemical oxygen demand) refers to the amount of the oxygen that would be consumed if all the organic matter in one litre of water were oxidised by bacteria.
Definitely the water with lesser bod will be useful for drinking as it would contain lesser organic matter.
