B tech in mechanical engineering from PEC Chandigarh would be better than electrical engineering.

Here are some facts on basis i made a conclusion:

The average package offered in mechanical department of PEC Chandigarh is around 6 to 7 lakhs with the highest offer package of 15 lakhs . 

The average package offered in electrical department of PEC Chandigarh is around 4 to 5 lakhs with highest package of 7 to 9 lakhs approx.

Moreover companies like suzuki,Mahendra, general motors , tata motors and many other core companies visit the campus whereas for electrical no core companies visit the campus

Punjab Engineering college, Chandigarh is one of the pioneer engineering colleges in India.It is the government colleges in Punjab. The teaching, placements are good. The facilities like hostel, Library, laboratories are available.

Coming to Electrical engineering, The course fees is INR of 4.51 lakhs. The cutoff rank for JEE MAINS is 35490.This course is approved by UGC.

Coming to Mechanical engineering, the course fees is INR is 4.51 lakhs. The cutoff rank for JEE MAINS is 32505. This course is approved by UGC.

Both the branches have good placements and opportunities. It is better to choose Mechanical engineering.
