Hi Aditya. You are required to include the marks of all the subjects (including the optionals) for calculation of percentage, aggregate marks received and maximum marks for both 10th and 12th.
Please don't leave out the optional paper's marks, and don't enter 100 as your percentage. You might get into trouble later, as the IIMs and other top bschools have very strict rules.
For 10th:
Total marks = 600
Aggregate marks obtained = (subject1 GPx9.5) + (subject2 GPx9.5) + (subject3 GPx9.5) + (subject4 GPx9.5) + (subject5 GPx9.5) + (subject6 GPx9.5)
Percentage = (Aggregate marks obtained/Total marks) x 100
MBA/PGDM Admissions OPEN
Eg, if you have 10GP in all 6 subjects, your percentage will be 95, aggregate marks obtained will be 95x6=570, and total marks will be 600.
All the best!
Pragya (IIM Jammu PGP 2018-20)
