Akash is anyways a safe and better option to choose if you want to pursue for medical preparation as it is one of the most renowned coaching institutes. but it stand in exception in comparision to other institutions for the following reasons:

The environment is student friendly. The institute is so clean and well designed, that it automatically creates a studying environment.

Teachers at akash are well educated professors and learned dignitaries. They are so helpful and easily approacmust, they are always eager to help students showing interests and they do so with full pass...

These will help you only is you are a classroom student. Their unit tests, quarterly tests, parent teacher meeting will help us to gain more. The level of AIATS is more than any other test series, so if you are a classroom student, this will be more helpful to you because you can approach your teachers and they know the solution to every question.

Study material -

They provide excellent quality of study material. Trust me, it's better than any other institute.

I know some students who studied in AAKASH from class 9th and they didn't got any govt. mbbs seat. And I got the seat only after studying in class 12.

Aakash Library -

They have lots of books for competitive exams in their library, one can take those books to their home or they can read in library too.

You will always get different opinions for this question.Let me clear this first.Secyring a good marks always depends on students that how they prepare. Their are lots of students who get success in their first attempt even without any tuitions and there are tons of students who failed while having them so the most important thing is that you will have to put hardwork and that's for sure.
From past few years me allen is doing great and allen provides with best material for medical entrance exams as per reviews but aakash is also good and so is helix but i have ranked it accordingly now its upto you choice.

I think Aakash will be a better option if you are looking for coaching for medicals. But I preferred you do more of self coaching than rely on coaching centres for studies. Coaching centers play a part but not a crucial role. It's always the student who has the significant part on his/her way to his/her goal.  Apart from that, give mock test series from Akash which will help you get accustomed to the pattern and difficulty
