 there is struggle on both sides.

IITians somewhat have the idea that doctors earn a lot and vice versa. I am giving a brief account of how a doctor in India earns.

  • Interns : 4000-18000 (depends on the state)
  • Government housestaff / Medical officer : 25000–70000 approximately (depending on the state)
  • Postgraduate student : 28000–70000
  • MBBS doctor : It is highly variable. It can be as low as 30000 to as high as a 6 digits depending on government or private sector and how many hours you work.
  • MD, DM etc : Highly variable. 50k to crores, if you have your own nursing home
