Hello Candidate,

The first Prime Minister of India was Jawaharlal Nehru. At that time he belongs to the Indian National Congress party, and he took swore on 15 August 1947, when India gained independence from the British Raj. He Served until his death in May 1964. Nehru remains India's longest-serving prime minister. And currently our Prime Minister is Narendra Damodardas Modi .
