Correct Answer: Wodeyars

Solution : The correct answer is Wodeyars.

Wodeyars ruled Mysore under a subsidiary alliance with the British after the defeat of Tipu Sultan at the Battle of Seringapatam in 1799. The fourth Anglo-Mysore War of 1799 had decisive results. After the death of Tipu Sultan, his territory was divided between Wodeyars, Hyderabad and the British. The region around Mysore and Seringapatnam was restored to the Wodeyar dynasty, the rightful rulers of the kingdom of Mysore.
