Why 1,2,3-triiodopropane is unstable?

Hello,

Iodine is quite big in size, hence three Iodine at 1,2,3 can cause stearic hindrance in the compound making it unstable.

Iodine on gem and vicinyl on two or more than two carbons is generally unstable.
