why boran has high melting point and boiling point

Hi

Boron has high melting and boiling  point because of the following reasons :-

  • Boron has very small atomic size


  • Boron forms very strong covalent bonds with neighbouring atoms.


  • Boron atoms are tightly packed in its solid state and due to this  a large amount of heat is required to break the bonds between atoms and thus it has high melting and boiling point
