The government has enlightened the Supreme Court that it will review the ‘criteria’ for determinant economically weaker sections (EWS) for reservation in academic establishments and jobs.

The statement followed a collection of petitions difficult the financial gain limit criterion of EWS at Rs 8 lack per annum. The case came within the context of admission to medical colleges through the NEET test.
