Why do we require a 1967 leaving certificate of our father for EWS certificate in Maharashtra. we are born & broughtup in Maharashtra 48 yrs

Hello,

The school leaving certificate might be asked to ensure that you belong to General category itself. EWS is given to individuals who have no other reservation. In the leaving certificate there will be category to which your father belong, so to the same you also belong.

My father is of 48 years born in the year 1970 born & bought up in Maharashtra. But they say they require my grand father's school leaving certificate from Maharashtra state which should be before 1967. We have all the other documents like state domicle, income certificate. But for EWS they require 1967 school leaving certificate in Maharashtra
