Humans are social animals, and as a result all our connections and work depend on communication. Communication skills are no substitute for skills in other arenas (like painting, calculating, etc.) but communication skills do compliment all other skills. E.g.- You open a bakery, if you employ other people you will have to communicate with them to coordinate things and share your recipes. Even if you don’t employ anyone, you will still have to communicate with your customers and not just sell your product but gain their trust in your skills as well.
