Velocity is limited by the universe’s speed limit, the speed of light. This is one of the fundamental postulates .The electron travelling at  the speed of light has a mass equivalent to 20 x the mass of an electron at rest.

So, there is no limit to momentum  but as there is a limit to velocity, then mass must increase.
