The Deemed University status is granted by UGC to autonomous universities which work on very high standards in the specific area of study .

Both the colleges you mentioned have the same course fees. GMC , Srinagar has MCI approved course with 150 seats . SKIMS is UGC approved with 100 seats .

Though both the colleges are approved by MCI.

Both have more or less the same facilities.

But with more placements , better infrastructure SKIMS has a better ranking of 16 as in 2018.
