Approvals of Medical Colleges happen after a thorough inspection of Infrastructure, Faculty and teaching or affliated hospitals. The Answer is pretty simple.
Any college and hospital which has been established earlier is bound to have doctors and staff whom the patients would know either directly or through sources.
Naturally, being a older hospital, the patient footfall is huge which makes the scope of clinical knowldege much more vast for the students to grasp - an important point while considering colleges.
Apart from this, the faculty and teaching staff of the newer colleges often haven't been reviewed by students at maximum compared to that of older GMC.
Thus student prefer to select that.
