Law is a very meticulous field where every law has to be quoted as it is. As there are no formulas etc. for practical learning and it is as it written, lawyers have to remember all the laws relevant to their specialization and sometimes even more. It may seem like a drag now but trust me, those skills will help you a lot later in your career.
