will i get a fellowship from kvpy if i take up engineering as my carrier

Hello. For getting a fellowship in KVPY you need to take courses in Basic Science only. You can get more information about it in the KVPY website. As you are opting for engineering as your career, so you won't be getting a fellowship in KVPY. Don't lose hope. If you get a good rank in GATE, you can opt for a Master's degree in IISC.

Students  aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology leading to B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. etc are only eligible for KVPY fellowship. so you won't be getting the fellowship.
