In previous years, the state quota cutoff for General category in Kerala for GMCs usually ranged between 510 to 580 marks , depending on the college and the demand. For example, colleges like Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram or Kozhikode have very high closing marks, often above 570.

With 485 marks , you may not get the top government colleges, but you can still have a slim chance in newer or less in-demand government medical colleges if the cutoff drops this year or if more seats are added .
