If you don't want to get into a NIT/IIT then a percentile of 80 percentile can also fetch you a college through josaa counselling considering you as a general category candidate.
If you want to apply for colleges outside josaa then you can get it with even lower percentile 75 you can say.
However its better to score a good percentile in jee mains to get a good college and your process can be smooth thereafter.
