Without GATE there are not many government jobs avaliable for PSUs in ECE if you want to work in core field then you have to get a good score in GATE exam.

but there are few such as Indian Railway conducts ESE(Engineering services exam) every year there are around 80-100 vacancies for that and you need to qualify for all stages.
