A human body can take a certain sound. Anything beyond that falls in the Category of Noise. Based on few Climate and geographical conditions, any decibel more than the allowed sound and disturbs the harmony is called noise pollution. For example, if you are in a house of 5, the conversations, Kitchen sounds, music, telephone calls, etc come under sounds. But let's say you pull up the music so loud that even your neighbours can listen, then it becomes noise pollution. On a normal sunny day, even a Thunder can cause noise pollution. Some noise pollution are man made like Transportation, honking of vehicle bells, Alarm systems, construction. While few are nature made noise pollution like firing, thunders, earthquakes, storms, etc. Not only these cause Annoyance and stress, they also result in Mental disorders and hearing disorders. They cause cardiac issues, sleep disorders and overall mental well being.
