• Jee main paper 1 i. e for be/Btech is conducted for 300 marks.

• Jee main paper 2 i. e for B. Arch/B. Planning is conducted for 400 marks

For your reference,

JEE Main 2021 examination pattern for both paper 1 and Paper 2 is provided below

PAPER -1 ( for BE / B. Tech)

JEE Mains 2021 examination paper 1 , had 90 question, out of which 75 questions was  to be attempted

And these questions were from three subjects :-

*  30 questions from physics.

* 30 questions  from Chemistry .

* 30 questions  from maths.

The 30 questions  in each Subject,  was divided into two sections -

*Section A :- A Section contained 20 MCQs or multiple-choice questions. Four options was there  out of which one was correct . And you had to choose the correct option.

* Section B :- it had 10 questions whose answer is a numerical value , no options was there ,  you need to enter or type your answer  i. e numerical value . One had to attempt only 5   questions out of the  total 10 numerical value questions .

So, out of 30 questions in each subject only 25 questions are to be attempted, so in total  25 x 3 = 75 questions out of 90 questions are to be attempted.

Each question carries 4 marks

Exam is conducted for a total of

= 75 x 4

= 300 marks

Marking scheme :-

*four marks will be awarded for your every correct answer

* 1 mark will be deducted for your every wrong answer in case of section A /MCQs

* no marks will be deducted for your wrong answer in case of in case of section B/numerical value question

PAPER -2

B.Arch

*Exam is conducted for a total of 400 marks

*there will be a total of 82 questions

There will be 3 sections

*Mathematics

There was  a total of 30 questions in mathematics. 20 Questions was MCQs and rest 10 questions was  questions with numerical value as the answer , out of which only 5 questions were  to be attempted.

*Aptitude

50 MCQs were there

*Drawing

2 questions were there

B.Planning

*Exam was conducted for a total of 400 marks

*there were a total of 105 questions

There  were 3 sections

*Mathematics

There was a total of 30 questions in mathematics. 20 Questions were MCQs and rest 10 questions were questions with numerical value as the answer , out of which only 5 questions were to be attempted.

*Aptitude

50 MCQs  were there

*Planning

25 MCQs were there
