JGEC Jalpaiguri takes admissions to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The programmes offered at the Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College Jalpaiguri include B. Tech and M.Tech. JGEC Jalpaiguri accepts scores of WBJEE for the B.Tech programme admission and WB PGET or GATE for the M.Tech programme admission.
Candidates have to meet the cutoff and appear for the counselling for the B.Tech programme admission. M.Tech is a two-year full-time postgraduate programme offered by Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Jalpaiguri. The M.Tech programme is offered under different specialisations such as power electronics and drives engineering and production technique, and management engineering. Fifth, seats are allotted to the candidates based on merit scores of the entrance test, preferences filled and availability of seats.
