Heritage is defined in itself as one of the best colleges in Kolkata. Heritage offers a good environment for the development of students such as resonance(music club),rotract(social welfare club),geeks united(coding club) etc. A very well experienced faculty makes the college more indigenous. Many workshops are being conducted to fecilitate students with changing environment of the world.

Awesome experience studying here

The placements for our seniors were quite good. About 85% of the students were placed. The highest salary was offered by Polaris of 5 lac rupees pa and the lowest was 3 lac rupees by TCS. The companies that visited our college were TCS, Fusion Charts, Polaris, Capgemini , Tech Mahindra, ITC Infotech and others. Our faculty is very qualified and very helpful. Their classes are interactive and they always help us in our study. Even after classes, students can go there with doubts and the teachers are happy to clarify them. Each class has a maximum of 50 students. Since most of your faculty have industry experience, they constantly keep us well informed about the principles and methods followed in the industry. The autonomous syllabus of the HIT is made in a way so that the students along with the course can also give more focus on those studies which is presently more useful in the industry and the modern world.

Talking about Heritage, I would say that it is one of the top engineering colleges when it comes to engineering colleges in Kolkata. Now let me tell you if you are looking only for placements, then definitely this is not the right place, but if you are looking for good education and culture wise, then it you are at the right place. As far as faculties are considered it is above par, you will find them available for all sorts of your doubts. If you are looking for good peers, then that is also above par. For sports and infrastructure facility this is one of the best in Kolkata. As far as placements are considered I believe there is a huge scope of improvement and that can take the college to the next level

Shambhavi Srivastava 16th Jan, 2020

Hello pritish,

Heritage institute of technology is a private engineering college in kolkata.it is affiliated by Maulana Abdul  Kalam Azad University of technology .

It was established in year 2001 and it's director is Dulal Chandra Roy .

Campus area is about 70 acres.

According to ranking given by NIRF  in 2018 ( NATIONAL INSTITUTE RANKING FRAMEWORK ) it is ranked in between 101-150 among engineering institute in India.wheras IEM is ranked on 25 given by NIRF.

both of them are approved by UGC.

IEM fee structure is around 5 lakhs whereas heriatge's fees is around 6 lakh.

So by considering the NIRF ranking IEM is better than HIT.

I hope this information helps you.

what is placement of civil branch and average package in current time

_Abhishek_Vatsya Student Expert 22nd Sep, 2019
Placement scenario of civil engineering stream is not Soo good in maximum Institute. If you are willing to take CE stream then you have to look for entrance EXAMINATION with which you can get gov in government sector or can pursue higher studies. You can bag job in IT sector through placement as Nowdays mostly IT sector companies used to visit Campus for recruitment..

Hi Ananga,

Thus the total fee for the entire course is Rs.3,04,300 excluding hostel charges.
