Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of Engineering

For Undergraduate degree
Candidates must have scored at least 60 per cent in class 12.

Entrance Exams for Engineering Course
For candidates after the 12th who want to pursue engineering courses in India, entrance exams must be conducted for the admission process. Various entrance exams are held by many universities for engineering courses.
JEE Main- Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) Main is an online National Level entrance exam conducted to grant admission to engineering courses. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and it is three hours long. This exam is conducted for getting admissions into IITs, IIITs, and NITs.
JEE Advanced- Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) Advanced or Joint Entrance Exam Advanced is a three hours long online national-level entrance exam conducted by one of the IITs every year. This exam is conducted to get admission into top-tier engineering colleges.
BITSAT- Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences conducts BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) to screen the candidates for admission to various engineering courses like B.Tech in Information Technology, and B.Tech in Computer Science.
VITEEE- Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam is a national level entrance exam conducted by VITEEE, Vellore. It is a computer-based test for admissions into various undergraduate engineering courses offered by its participating campuses.
SRMJEEE- SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Deemed University) conducts the Joint Engineering Entrance examination for admission to UG engineering programs (B.E./B.Tech). This exam is conducted for more than two lakhs student every year. The admission is based on the rank they scored in the exam only.
GATE- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an online entrance exam conducted to grant admissions to postgraduate engineering courses in IITs. The exam is conducted by IITs on a rotational basis. It is conducted once a year and is three hours long. More than 1000 universities accept students with GATE scores to grant them admissions to the PG engineering courses.
