The CPC® + CPB®: Medical Coding and Billing Training Course certification duration is 32 weeks, 16 weeks for CPB and 16 weeks for CPC. The AAPC paired the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) training course with the Certified Professional Biller (CPB) training course to provide a strong foundation in medical billing and coding.   

The prerequisites to enrol for this course are that the students must know medical terminology and anatomy(or AAPC courses). The Certified Professional Coder (CPC)® Online Training Course is a self-paced programme that will be completed in 16 weeks. The course focuses on providing students with medical coding knowledge, preparing and excelling them for the CPC examination. The students will learn about the principles of medical coding related to the three main code books.

The prerequisites to join this programme are that the participants must know medical terminology and anatomy (or AAPC courses). The Certified Professional Coder (CPC)® Online Training Course training by AAPC offers a deep understanding of official ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and will be able to apply the y coding conventions.

The Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC)® Online Training Course duration is 16 weeks. The students will learn about the fundamental medical coding skills for risk adjustment coding, the effects of predictive modelling and quality of care. The course offers 6 months of access to the course materials.

The participants must have two years of experience and knowledge of the Fundamentals of Medicine, Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Pathophysiology. The Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)® Online Training Course duration is 16 weeks. The students will learn to review and assign the proper procedures and diagnostic codes to the patient in a hospital or outpatient setting. The prerequisite to join this course is that the participants must know medical terminology, anatomy, and pathophysiology.

The course is recommended for individuals interested in a career in medical coding for an outpatient hospital, facility and ambulatory surgery centre setting and who want to earn the COC credential. The Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)® Online Training Course by AAPC offers an extensive curriculum that covers all the aspects of medical coding.

The prerequisite to joining this certification course is that the candidates must have at least two years of experience in emergency department coding. The course focuses on preparing Emergency Department (ED) coding professionals to appear for the CEDC™ certification exam.

Students will gain in-depth knowledge of reviewing common diagnoses, surgical procedures, and evaluation management coding related to the emergency department. The Certified Emergency Department Coder (CEDC)® Online Training Course by AAPC curriculum offers a practice test with 10 cases and 35 multiple-choice questions and interactive lectures with exercises.

The online certification programme offers in-depth knowledge and skills needed to qualify for the COBGC™ certification exam. Candidates interested in joining this course must have at least two years of experience in OB/GYN coding.

The Certified Orthopedic Surgery Coder (COSC)™ Online Training Course is designed for coding professionals working in orthopaedics for physicians to prepare them for the COSC™ certification exam.
